Membership Information

IAHA's membership is open to attorneys, law students and others interested in legal issues surrounding the delivery of health care. Our more than 600 active members come from both in-house and firm settings and include students, new lawyers and experienced practitioners.

 

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

In addition to providing educational opportunities to further substantive knowledge of health care law, IAHA programs provide a forum for our members to network with colleagues and exchange ideas and best practices.  The benefits of IAHA membership include, among others:

 

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

IAHA Membership year runs June 1 - May 31

Voting Membership is available to attorneys who are employed by or represent health care providers, payors or companies in the life sciences industry ("health care entities"), associations of health care entities, organizations that accredit health care entities, or government agencies that regulate health care entities; attorneys who teach health law courses at accredited institutions; and attorneys who are directors or trustees of health care providers.

Nonvoting Membership is available to any person interested in health care legal issues.

 

Membership Categories

  • Special membership (Voting and Nonvoting) dues rate, $100. This membership begins March 2018 and expires May 31, 2019.
  • Student Membership - Non-voting student membership is available to undergraduate and law students (JD candidates and full time LLM candidates) for $25 per year.  When completing the Member Profile, Students are required to include name of Law School and expected graduation date. To learn more about Student Membership, click here.
