Ethical Issues Arising from the COVID-19 Pandemic

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare providers and departments of public health have had to grapple with and develop solutions for a host of novel issues.   How these decisions are made in an ethical manner has been a hot topic among these providers, agencies and the general public.

Our esteemed panelists will discuss approaches to decision making about healthcare resources in times of scarcity, including crisis standards of care and distribution of scarce drugs, such as Remdesivir.   By sharing both clinical and legal perspectives, our panelists will address how decision makers frame these issues in order to reach consensus and make difficult decisions.
